Finding Online Bibles:
We call the Bible the Word of God because it contains God's message to humanity and is a means by
which God speaks to us. Many Presbyterians use a popular English translation called The New Revised Standard Version (NRSV) which is available from Oremus Bible Browser. You can find many other English translations as well as other language translations of the Bible at: Bible Gateway
PRAYER
Prayer resources can be found in many places on the internet. Two are provided by the PCUSA:
1. d365.org
This can be found online –and you can also download the app on your phone. Devotionals 365 days a year designed with our younger adults in mind but wonderful for us all. A contemporary reflection on a short verse followed by a prayer and accompanied by inspired music
2. Daily Prayer App
The Daily Prayer app provides simple, yet rich devotional resources for morning, midday, evening, and close of day. Each service includes psalms and readings from the confessions. Other elements include opening and closing words, biblical canticles, a thanksgiving for light and a prayer of confession. The app is available for both iPhone and Android devices.
