The first time I walked into Nashua Presbyterian I was welcomed
by everyone standing and chatting in the entryway.
A warm, peaceful feeling came over me, like ......
this is where I am meant to be.
I am a nature lover and I'm sure everyone loves nature,
but it is a huge part of my relationship with God.
I see His love for us in His creations.
I believe that when you are in tune with Nature,
you are close to God, and this makes Him happy
because Nature is one of his gift s to us.
I see He also has a sense of humor.
Take a look at the neck of a giraffe,
the stripes on zebras, and adorable monkeys.
The miracle of a seed that is planted turns into vegetables, fruits, beautiful flowers and trees. With these fruits and vegetables
we are able to nourish ourselves
and share with our neighbors, just as He taught us to do.
The church is small and cozy, and when Pastor Sally is giving one
of her many beautiful thought provoking sermons,
I feel like she's speaking directly to me
and we could be sitting in my living room just chatting.
When I am enjoying the music during the prelude,
I look out the windows and see His gifts right in our yard,
with vegetable and flower gardens, birds,
even the animals that eat our plants, and a peaceful walking trail.
Our little church tucked into the woods, instead of near the road.
We are an Earth Care Congregation.
Is it any wonder that I would be drawn to a church
that call themselves
The Little Church in The Woods.
